ATZ Player Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 September 2026
ATZ Player (by Alltechzone) does not collect your personal information. There is no account, no tracking, no analytics and no advertising. Everything you save stays on your device, encrypted. We never see your playlists or what you watch. Questions: support@alltechzone.au
What ATZ Player does
ATZ Player is a media player. It plays M3U and M3U8 playlists and direct video links that you provide. It does not supply, host, sell or recommend any TV channels, playlists or streaming content of its own. Alltechzone is a web and app development studio based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
1. Information we collect
None. Alltechzone operates no server that receives data from this app. ATZ Player contains no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no crash reporting service and no account system, and it does not request or use the Android advertising ID.
2. What is stored on your device
Your playlists, categories and channels, favourites, watch history, quick links, Vault entries and app settings. All of it is stored locally and encrypted with AES-GCM, using a key held in the Android Keystore. Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data, removes all of it permanently.
3. Network connections
ATZ Player connects only to the playlist and streaming servers you add, and to any artwork hosts referenced by the tvg-logo tags inside your own playlist. Those providers see your request and IP address, exactly as with any player or browser, and have their own privacy practices. Nothing is routed through Alltechzone. Plain HTTP is permitted because many IPTV providers still use it; HTTPS is used whenever your provider offers it.
4. Passwords and the Vault
Category and Vault passwords are hashed with PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 using independent random salts, and unlocking is rate limited after repeated failures. Passwords are not recoverable, by you or by us.
5. Files you create
Encrypted backups are only created when you tap Export in Settings, are protected by a password you choose, and are saved where you choose. They are never uploaded. When you share a playlist or a captured video frame, a temporary copy is placed in the app's sharing cache so another app can read it; you can clear these in Settings. An exported playlist is not encrypted and M3U links can contain your provider credentials, which is why the app asks you to confirm before exporting.
6. Permissions
Internet and network state, to fetch your playlists and play your streams and to report offline errors. Foreground service with media playback, to keep audio playing in the background. Wake lock, to keep playback running. The app does not request storage, location, contacts, camera, microphone or phone permissions.
Children
ATZ Player is not directed at children. Because it plays whatever source you add, and we cannot see or vet those sources, it is intended for users aged 18 and over.
Your rights
Since we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to disclose, correct or delete. You control everything, on your device. Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, you may still contact us with any question about this policy.
Third-party content
Any playlist or stream you add belongs to a third party. Alltechzone has no control over it and is not responsible for its content, availability, legality or accuracy. You are responsible for having the right to access what you add.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version is published at this URL with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
